The Dr. John A. Gable Memorial Lecture Series, sponsored each year by The Friends of Sagamore Hill, honors the legacy of Dr. John A. Gable (pictured above) as long-time Director of the Theodore Roosevelt Association and tireless advocate for both Theodore Roosevelt and his enduring presence on the American scene.

On Thursday, June 20, 2019, Jeff Heatley (pictured above during his lecture) discussed TR's time at Camp Wikoff in Montauk with the Rough Riders, based on his book, Bully! Colonel Roosevelt, The Rough Riders & Camp Wikoff. Additional information on this lecture is available below under "Past Lectures".
Our May 16th lecture with Paul Grondahl (pictured above) was both well-received and well-attended. The 39 attendees were provided insights into TR's early political apprenticeship in Albany as legislator and governor. Paul's audience (pictured below left) was fully engaged and appreciative.
On April 25th, Roger Di Silvestro's (pictured below right) discussion of TR in the Badlands was heard by 45 attendees.
